New edition of Voluntary But Not Amateur published
The eighth edition of “Voluntary But Not Amateur: A guide to the law for voluntary organisations and community groups” has just been published.
Written by Ruth Hayes and Jacki Reason, the 320-page book has been completely revised to cover recent relevant legislation. This includes changes in charity and company law, environmental assessment, risk assessment, licensing, procurement, contracts and grant funding agreements.
It also covers changes to employment legislation on, for example, age discrimination. There is also information about accessibility, health and safety, data protection and copyright.
The book costs £35.
