Clairvoyant didn't see her gift's rejection coming
The BBC reports that the Mayor of Droitwich has turned down as “inappropriate” a donation of £200 for Girlguiding UK from a woman who raised it through clairvoyance evenings at a pub.
Julie Angel-Guest’s donation was “regrettably declined” according to the Mayor’s office, and the BBC quotes a spokesperson from Girlguiding UK as confirming that such fundraising methods were not appropriate for the charity.
The gift will instead be accepted by the Worcester Sea Cadets.
