Charity to benefit from Cat in the Hat anniversary
The Cat in the Hat is 40 years old. Random House Children’s Publishing has launched a year-long celebration of this event, and a US educational charity has been chosen as a beneficiary.
Children are being encouraged by Random House to create and send a birthday card to the friendly feline; for every birthday card received, Random House will donate a book to the National Center for Family Literacy to help needy children learn to read.
