This guide to board development was produced after the launch of the Black and Minority Ethnic Voluntary and Community Sector Code of Good Practice.

It represents the responses of BME trustees, governing boards, focus groups and governance advisers and provides a framework for attracting and retaining black and minority ethnic trustees.
